KNRadio is looking for quality broadcasters with a pro attitude to join our team!

We are recruiting on air DJ’s and/or conscious talk show hosts. We are seeking individuals who love to play Nubian aka black music. Black or Nubian music from our point of view consists of Reggae, Dance Hall, Soca, Funk, Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, House, Afro Beat, Drum & Bass, Jungle, UK Garage, DubStep, Techno, Jazz, Blues and the like.

You will be required to have high speed internet with an upload speed of at least 3Mbps, DJ gear, microphone and anything else you feel to enhance the delivery of your show. We will provide you with an encoder which will let you broadcast on the station. There is a small fee for this encoder as it comes with broadcasting tools unlike other regular encoders.

As a DJ on KingdomNubia Radio (KNR) you must be able to mix (beat match/blend) your music from one song to the next with nice transitions and:

1. Have a good knowledge of the music you’re playing.
2. Have good knowledge of older music in the genres you’re playing.
3. Know how to use the microphone and engage people, who may be in the lounge (chat room), introduce songs every now and then.
4. Talk show should have some music interludes such as intro, outro, music beds or tracks to play as filler between topics or segments.

Your show can be any of the above or a combination of the lot, the idea is to keep your audience excited to want to stay and come back to hear you or other shows on the station again.

Additional Requirements

KNR broadcasts 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, as member of the KNR team you will be required to do at least 2 hours a week. DJ’s will need to submit a demo of at least 20 min or more, could be a link on mixcloud or soundcloud or youtube, NOT Facebook. This demo should consist of your ability mix the music and use the mic as you would during a show. You will be required to promote your own show by various means such as social networks or physically flyer places in your area. If chosen to join our team you will need to provide a bio and show description for the site.
